WorldSkills 2022, Car Painting in Silkeborg
Come to Silkeborg 18. - 21. october and experience the world's most talented young car painters competing to become world champion.
When College 360 in Silkeborg opens its doors in week 42, they are not only welcoming WorldSkills and the 15 most talented young car painters from all over the world. They also welcome the audience and guests: Everyone is welcome to visit the competition – and perhaps try their hand at the difficult art of car painting in a state-of-the-art simulator.
It is the first, and perhaps only, time that Denmark has hosted a WorldSkills Car Painting competition, and it will be a very special event.
Among other things, there will be an opportunity to get inside College360, which houses one of Europe’s most modern departments for car painting. The young WorldSkills participants can be followed up close all four days of the competition, and in addition there is the opportunity to participate in various types of activities at the school under the heading: Play with the trades
Program for the WSC in car painting 18 - 21 October 2022

The competitors are in action: at 9.00-18.00 all four days
Visitor activities: Play with the trades
Time: 18th to 21st October at 10.00-14.00

The “food factory” is open – so there is no excuse for going hungry or thirsty
Take part in guided tours: at 10.00, at 11.00 and at 1 p.m
Change tires on time: Challenge your friend, girlfriend, father or mother to change tires on time.
Car paint sprayer simulator: Do you have the skills and precision of a car painter? Test yourself in the simulator
Visit the competition area: You will be received by apprentices who will be your guides
Take a look at the workshops: Visit the workshops where the car mechanics and bodywork technicians are doing practical training
Come and play with crafts and the design trades: decorate your mobile cover, hammer in nails with the carpenters, be creative with the blacksmiths
Experience the school championship in sign technology: Thursday 20 October at 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m
Don’t miss out on a look into the workshops of: Blacksmiths, carpenters, electricians, sign technicians and building painters and the kitchens at the hotel and restaurant area.
Closing ceremoni on Saturday 22 October at 4:30 p.m
Selection of the new world champion in car painting and distribution of several “special awards”, including a special skill-specific green award in the form of a “sustainability award”, will take place during the closing ceremony at College360 on Saturday 22 October at 4:30 p.m.
The closing ceremony is open to all interested parties with no need for registration or tickets.
Facts about WorldSkills 2022 - special edition
WorldSkills 2022 is a “special edition” with competitions around the world, including one at College360 in Silkeborg. Worldwide, over 1000 young people from more than 58 different regions and countries participate and compete in 61 different subjects in 15 different countries. Denmark fields young competition participants in 8 competitions and judges in 9 competitions.
